With all of the acronyms and options available, the certification and credentialing process can get confusing. We've provided a short overview; however, you will need to go to the ICF's WEBSITE (coachingfederation.org) and review the credential you are seeking to ensure your coaching hours on your coaching log are aligned with their current requirements.
Certification – Certification happens by graduating from an ICF Accredited Level One or Two coach training. If you graduate from us you will be designated:
Credentialing – After you graduate and are awarded a certification from your school, you may apply for an ICF credential. The credential requires an additional ICF Exam. If you graduated from our institute you can:
- PCC once you have 500 coaching hours logged.
Process – When you are ready to apply for an ICF credential, fill out the application form and apply under the Level One or Level Two option that you graduated from. (Previous accredited programs were called: ACSTH for Level One and ACTP for Level Two)

- Level One = “Certified Coach” or CC
- Level Two = “Certified Professional Integrative Coach” or CPIC
Credentialing – After you graduate and are awarded a certification from your school, you may apply for an ICF credential. The credential requires an additional ICF Exam. If you graduated from our institute you can:
- Level One Graduate qualifies you to apply for the ACC credential once you have 100 coaching hours logged.
- Level Two Graduates are qualified to apply for:
- PCC once you have 500 coaching hours logged.
Process – When you are ready to apply for an ICF credential, fill out the application form and apply under the Level One or Level Two option that you graduated from. (Previous accredited programs were called: ACSTH for Level One and ACTP for Level Two)
- When you place the school you graduated from ensure to type the full name so we pop up. Ex: The Institute for Integrative Intelligence.
- You will need to take and pass the ICF Credentialing Exam.
- You will need to fill out an "Attestation" that you have the required coaching hours on your coaching log, with permission from your clients to place their names and contact info. The ICF does random auditing. Be prepared to upload your coaching log if your application is chosen.
- Once you meet the applications requirements and pass the ICF Exam, you will be awarded the credential you applied for!
