In 2009 a group of successful professional coaches convened. The question was posed: “What didn’t you receive in your coaching programs, that you felt was really needed to be a successful coach?” The group answered this for ourselves and then branched out to learn how other trained coaches felt.
The top 10 concerns we heard:
Over the next two years, we crafted and formulated a fully comprehensive program. We now have one of the most uniquely delivered programs in the nation.
How we answered the call:
In 1992 a shy introverted girl from a small town in Colorado looked around at society and felt hopeless. She concluded that if she was born into a world where adults sold out their values for money, the small group of people who actually cared about the environment were getting made fun of, sex trafficking was getting worse and profits were prioritized above people’s well-being, that we must be heading downhill as a society. She thought that humans have reached their capacity for success and now were snowballing downhill fast.
In 2005 she had a budding realization. Society as a whole was only thinking linear, especially in areas that have greatest impact like corporate life, ethics, environment, politics and media. She also observed that linear thinking can only yield linear results. Linear thinking also produces unintended consequences, which integrative thinking did not. Therefore, she concluded that we haven’t yet reached even a 10th of our human potential.
This realization ignited a spark of inspiration! She further concluded that human potential is reached when we raise the bar on our definition of success and use our intelligence integratively. This would then positively shape the areas where human impact is at its greatest like corporate life, ethics, environment, politics and media.
She felt relieved, inspired and set out to be a part of the solution!
The top 10 concerns we heard:
- My school was great at marketing to me with flashy possibilities, then once I was in the door, I was on my own.
- I only learned lots of tools, coaching basics and left disappointed at the lack of depth.
- Class sizes were so large, I felt lost in the shuffle.
- Good program, but no alumni community or continuing education.
- I felt thrown into the deep end. It was too open ended.
- I had to coach in front of the entire class before I knew what I was doing.
- Lack of instructor availability. Fishbowl learning didn’t allow for personal attention or development.
- They accepted anyone that would pay tuition and this caused a lot of disruption in the learning process.
- I wanted a program that would align with my goals and vision. I couldn’t find one so went with most popular.
- No business development help or support after graduating.
Over the next two years, we crafted and formulated a fully comprehensive program. We now have one of the most uniquely delivered programs in the nation.
How we answered the call:
- We stay with you from admission to post-graduation.
- We phase you into Advanced Concepts and prepare you to coach from all angles.
- We cap our class sizes in service to personalized attention and our value for quality.
- We have a thriving alumni network of like hearted professionals.
- We phase you in. Each concept builds upon the last.
- We hold small group practice sessions with a PCC mentor.
- We provide you with a lead instructor, available for outside of class support as well.
- We only accept professionals that are dedicated to putting their best self into their life and work.
- We get to know your goals and vision before the program begins and customize the training to you.
- We provide you a Business Blueprint to follow up front. We have additional support in place, if you need it.
