Ancient Toltec Teachings: Victim, Warrior, Master
Instructor: Laurel Elders, PCC, CEC
The Toltecs teach that we come into the world dependent. If we stay a dependent after we are grown, we can become a Victim to life. However, if we decide to take a stand for our life and individuate, we move into Warrior.
Some people stay in Warrior and push against life. Others bridge into Mastery.
We teach you the bridges from Victim to Warrior and then from Warrior to Master. With this understanding you will help your clients leverage their strengths and claim their personal power. This lesson is at the heart of Integrative Coaching.

The Enneagram: The 9 Levels of Human Development
Instructor: Laurel Elders, PCC, CEC
In honor of Sandy Hogan, PCC
The Enneagram also helps people identify their location on the personal development spectrum:
You learn the Enneagram as a client self-assessment tool to identify blind-spots and action steps towards their healthiest and highest self. You also learn how to identify your own patterns that limit and how to create your own path for integration personally and professionally.
In honor of Sandy Hogan, PCC
The Enneagram also helps people identify their location on the personal development spectrum:
- Healthy Ranges: Desired response to stress = Integrated. Need for coaching.
- Average Ranges: Undeveloped response to stress = Unintegrated. Need for either coaching or therapy, depending on goal.
- Unhealthy Ranges: Sub-conscious reactivity to stress = Disintegrated. Need for therapy.

So·mat·ic - /səˈmadik/ - adjective
"Of, or relating to, the body."
Learning how to use the wisdom behind the body's natural feedback systems to increase client self-awareness gives the client a huge advantage in their work with you. The "gut", or body response, reacts 9x faster than the brain.
Additionally, the body's feedback systems are also not prone to self-deception, like the human mind is. Unlike the mind, which can be focussed anywhere, the body is always in the present moment.
Understanding the role of somatics, and "body language", in coaching rounds out the coach's ability to get at what is beneath the surface for a client.

"Referring Out" - What to do when a client may need therapy.

Instructor: Rebecca Smith, MEd, PCC, NCAC
Coaching is excellent when a person is ready for personal and professional development and is able to hold the coaching, live through their own wisdom, align with their values and explore their own potentials.
However, if a client or employee is experiencing a problem with emotional wounding, abuse or addiction, then a referral to a licensed professional who can help them, and/or evaluate what is happening is appropriate.
Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental, emotional or physical ailments. Coaches do not provide advice, counseling or guidance. Coaches provide structure and tools for clients to seek answers and potential within themselves. To do this a person must be healthy and ready to self-reflect, take action and take responsibility in their life.
In the segment "Referring Out" we look the clear boundaries between coaching and therapy, when and how to refer out to an appropriate licensed professional.
