Examining Inequality

Last week we looked at culture and how it may be impacting our client's view of themselves, their abilities, fulfillment and even self-worth. 

This week we take a look at the buzz-word "privilege". 

I saw a video of a race. Everyone started at the same line to race to the end. Then the referee instructed things like: "OK before we begin, I want everyone who had a free college education to take two large steps forward." Those that qualified did so. He kept adding to the list of privilege before the race even began. There were some people that barely had a race to run because they were already so close to the finish line before any running was done, because of the life they were born into.
