![]() This week's coaching resource is about shifting perspective. I needed one of these last week. I woke up and brought my coffee and alarm clock (my cell phone) downstairs to start my day. I had three steps to go, hands full, puppy and cat following me down. Then, thwap! My cozy puffy socks slid one way and I went the other. Coffee everywhere! Landed very painfully on my arm, foot and bottom. It was so humbling. Life has those pesky surprises and what matters most is how we handle them. I heard of a man that suffered from Alzheimer's. His perspective was so moving. Anytime someone came through his door he handed them a note that read, "Hi, I may not remember who you are to me, or what your name is, but, please come in and remember how much I care. I look forward to spending time with you today." He didn't get angry. He chose the most empowering perspective in his circumstances. Enjoy your week!
