When I work with health coaching clients on overcoming emotionally eating, they often start off feeling like creating a true lasting change is too monumental. Yet, the pain of remaining stuck is too much, so they have asked for help in facilitating change. My message (this may sound crazy at first) is to not focus on creating change at all. I invite them instead to create a new possibility. After hearing this perspective shift, I typically hear a sigh of relief, followed by, "that I can do." Then... vwalla, the client has an opening to move into. Ever wonder how coaching impacts change down to our wiring, our neuro-plasicity? In this innovative resource, Ann Betz reviews each of the ICF Core Competencies and how they impact the brain. Creating a new possibility (new neuro-pathway) is easier than "changing" (an old pathway). Enjoy today's resource is on how coaching positively impacts the brain! https://www.beaboveleadership.com/this-is-your-brain-on-coaching/ |
